Before Sunset (2004)

....and she never came to premiere of "Before sunrise".
See. The whole concept of love is much more complex. Love is like God or
something: it's everywhere... I see it, I feel it, but I don't know if another
person is going to hand it to me.

But Linklater pick up the story in "Before sunrise" and after 9 years paths of Jesse and Celine crossed again in Paris during Jesse's new realised book tour. Celine came to bookstore in Paris where he had a reading session. They had nearly an hour or two to spend time together, to talk. Celine didn't come to train station in six month as they agreed nine years ago after they first met, because her grandmother, living in Budapest passed away. But Jesse was there. When he said that he came she was so sad because of that. This time, when  they met Jesse was already married and had child, Celine had a boyfriend.

During coffee time and boat tour they realized how much they missed each other and mostly their conversations.

While watching movie I had the same questions as Jesse. What if she came to train station? What if she had to go to Budapestt one week before or week after? What if they exchanged numbers or any contacts? What if they had chance to see each other earlier than now?

And again everything happens for a reason...

"...people just have an affair, or even entire relationships... they break up and they forget! They move on like they would have changed brand of cereals! I feel I was never able to forget anyone I have been with. Because each person have... their own, specific qualities."

Before Sunrise (1995, based on true story)

Note The story was inspired by an evening that Richard Linklater spent with a young woman named Amy Lehrhaupt, whom he met during a day he spent in Philadelphia travelling from New York to Austin in 1989. They were in touch but suddenly lost contact and during "Before sunrise" world premiere was taking place, Linklater was hoping that Amy would show up. In 2004 was premiere of  "Before sunset". And in 2010 Linklater found out from Amy's friend who knew their story, that Amy had died in a motorcycle accident on May 9, 1994 at the age of 24, only a few weeks before he started shooting Before Sunrise (1995).
Celine: I guess when you are young, you believe that you will
meet many people with whom you will connect with,
but later in life you realize it only happens a few times.
I was trying to watch this movie, actually whole triology for a long time and could not  make it. Last couple of days I was questioning myself with all this love staff, about people we see on our way, people who surround us, our desires, dreams, wishes, what is right /wrong and so on. And suddenly this triology came up again and it was again the right timing.

There is such an amazing energy and heartfelt conversations between Celine & Jesse.
Jesse was an american man travelling back to USA via Vienna. Celine was french woman travelling form Budapest to Paris. They met in train and later spend whole day together till sunrise in Vienna.

They had conversations about those little things which you are comfortable to talk and share with stranger, you can be who you are,be open, say what you think not afraid of judgement.

They didn't share any contacts in movie (seems in real story they did) and promised each other to meet again in six month at the same train station.

Has it ever happened for two strangers met by chance once to meet again?
